In Jan 2021, Cricket Australia and their Melbourne cricket clubs were faced with an epic challenge – to get bums on seats amid a global pandemic. Recognising the need to take Big Bash beyond just another sporting code and into the world of entertainment the MKTG broadcast team led the charge - driving fan engagement from every possible aspect.
Borrowed Space was engaged to manage all match entertainment for Melbourne Stars & Renegades at home matches. Entertainment included Welcome to Country ceremonies, cheerleaders, fan cam assistance, digital games as well as 7 major artist performances from Inoxia, Havana Brown, Banoffee, Graace, Alice ivy, Mitch Tambo and Harts and 1 specially created battle performance between Graace and Harts at the Melbourne Stars & Renegades
Double Header.
In addition to the program development, Borrowed Space co-ordinated all special artist appearances for Stars TV as well as social content & promotion of via the artists channels.
Feedback across the program was excellent from both client and fan feedback.
