The Journey project is an awarding winning exhibit that launched in Trafalgar Square, London. Commissioned by the Helen Bamber Foundation & Emma Thompson, the aim was to raise awareness of prostitution and the plight of women trafficked into the sex industry – the end of goal of which to drive action from both members of the public and politicians.

Members of the public were asked to step into the shoes of Eastern European women as they journeyed though seven shipping containers – each representing an emotional and physical stage of their journey through this shocking industry.

Each of the shipping containers were designed by world famous artists such as Coco de Mer founder Sam Roddick, Turner Prize winner Anish Kapoor and Oscar winning actress Emma Thompson.

The exhibit attracted 12,000 active visitors including Ken Livingston, David Cameron, Dustin Hoffman and Colin Firth. Over 2.5M opportunities to see and £1.5M free media coverage and 20,000 petition signatures.
